Nancy Harrar

Nancy Harrar has been a Yoga Teacher at Fitness Edge since the summer of 2008.

PHILOSOPHY
My first yoga practice was a video someone popped into a VCR while I was traveling. I remember calling home shortly after and explaining to my mom how I though that video was changing me. That was about 8 years ago. I attended a few classes here and there, watched several videos in my room but didn’t begin a regular yoga practice until 2005 when I participated in a hot yoga class. I dedicated about one year to hot yoga before discovering vinyasa yoga. I left my first flow class thinking “This is what I’ve been missing?” I love the breathing, the movement, and the attention to self. I think it would be nice if everyone is able to experience that feeling whether through yoga asana or not. Through yoga, what ever form it may be, you feel yourself open and become flexible in body and mind so that you are free to go with the flow. Allow the words “ I have no idea what is going to happen” be a little less scary and a lot more exciting. Whenever possible do what ever you can do, nothing more, but never do any less.
