These classes are based on an ancient form of movement that promotes balance, flexibility, strength and relaxation and conscious awareness through various poses, breathing techniques and energetics. One on One Yoga
If you are unfamiliar with the practice of yoga or would like to enhance your current yoga practice, Fitness Edge is offering personalized yoga practice with Dana Ransom. Please see our front desk staff to make an appointment and for the fees.

Yin Yoga - The fundamental characteristic of Yin Yoga is holding poses for several minutes. This moderate stress is not only going to stretch the muscle belly, but the connective tissue as well. If you are persistent with this practice the body will respond by lengthening and strengthening resulting in stonger more stable joints and great flexbility. Slow Flow Yoga (SF) - similar to Vinyasa Flow but a slower flow.

Hatha Yoga - inspired by B.K.S Iyengar, John Friend (the founder of Anusara Yoga) and our teacher Dillon Cherrett of Source Yoga Studios. The princples encompass three foundational elements: Attitude (our intention and feeling), Alignment (the precise placement of the body), and Action (balancing strength and flexibility.

Pilates with Shelly
Grow with Pilates....literally! Improve your strength, flexibility, posture and alignment by strengthening your abdominals, back, glutes and legs. Pilates exercise improves core strength and balances the muscles around the joints, improving the way your body functions, looks and feels. It focuses specifically on breathing, pelvic placement, rib cage placement, scapular movement, head & cervical spine placement.

Please note that all Yoga/Pilates Classes are 10 weeks in length. There is a discounted rate if you commit and pay for the 10 week sessions. You can purchcase a 10 card punch pass for $60.00 + GST and you can attend any class you like (expires in the session purchased). Drop-ins are welcome, please see the front desk staff.
